“One night, Kantaryn and I entered the castle through the privy. There was a small projection two floor up on the castle's long side opposite the entrance gate. The residents' leavings fell very conveniently into the moat below. But the important thing for us was that this overhang had been constructed as a wooden extension, and it was the only weak point in this otherwise completely impregnable fortress. We threw a rope with a hook over the extension’s roof and climbed up. With an axe, we merely cut the privy seat apart from below, and so we entered the castle.”
